I think that's it for 2chan land (for now). I squeezed almost everything from them. Onto the Japanese blogs now. (>D Yes, you think I'm crazy right?) My next translation will be on coded since that has been overwhelmed by a lot by its big siblings. Edit: And pardon me for constantly changing Unbirth's name without thinking...

DKΣ3713 Party はなですよ! - Part 13 - 358/2 Days gameplay
by Tomogirl on August 03, 2008 at 10:58 PM EDT
Did the BbS part, now onto the 358/2 Days portion.- There are two modes that you can choose to play on. One is the Single player mode and the other is the Multi-player mode. One side of the demo area has a wall for the Single modes while the other side would be for the Multi-player mode which needs four people.
- Single Mode
- You're in Twilight Town and your partner is Axel.
- Roxas and Axel are in Twilight Town's Central Station having a conversation that feels the same as in CoM (-huh?). This scene isn't in the trailer portion of the DK Party.
- You must quickly complete an obstacle in the station.
- After a releasing a key from the back alley, a boss comes rushing in to battle you. It's Guard Armor. Without any needed help from the partner, everyone was able to knock the boss down many times.
- In reward, Axel gives you a sea-salt ice cream on TT's clock tower.
- "Let's eat to the conclusion of this mission which is again, ahead of time." (This sentence is worded a bit funny so I tried my best to have it make sense.)
- The next part of the demo is featured in Beast's Castle. Your partner is Xaldin.
- Xaldin gives Roxas the novice treatment so it was sulky.
- By the way, since Xaldin has [a good] judgement on hitting, he can make a lot of holes. He doesn't eat lock-on and damage. (The attendee put down "eat" in his/her sentence. *shrugs* I have no idea why. Shouldn't it be "need"?)
- Mission: Annihilate all enemies.
- With that being the case, the small fry are waiting and Xaldin orders not to leave. The small fry scatter towards Xaldin who held on until the end. (small fry = enemies)
- In the east wing (of the castle), it was a dead end. It wasn't possible to go into Belle's room.
- The potion was changed to 3 pieces.
- In the west wing, a boss battle came rushing into the hall.
- It was a Darkside battle.
- In front of Beast's room, he is surprised to hear Beast roar.
- Then, he learned about the secret of the [enchanted] rose.
- "An unexpected harvest."
- Multi-player Mode
- When 4 people are gathered together, the demo starts. The attendee's onee-san (older sister) surrounds and advises the attendee from beginning to end.
- The characters that are able to be used are Xigbar, Xaldin, Saix, Axel, Larxene, and Roxas.
- In a gap in a town's forest, there are heartless. The attendee kicked them around for about 5 minutes.
- Introduces you to the tram plaza.
- You must find the correct wooden box as there's a hidden boss in one of the boxes.
- Find a box and a command appears.
- Heartless come out but the attendee did not fight them. He/she investigated more until he/she came across the hidden boss for a battle.
- The boss was a multi-color snake which the attendee forgot its full name.
- The 4 people collaboration were fighting, teleporting, and the earnest running away.
- Once the 4 people complete the mission and touch the wooden box, they go to a place that's a circuit of darkness.
- When Heartless are knocked down, crystals come out of their bodies. The total amount of crystals that you collect are calculated and you are given a rank.
- There was a reaction with a character going up and down for just a minute as if he was on medicine. (Or maybe "caffeine" would've been a better word....)
- The JF operation to change without a multi-demo viewpoint because of a certain companion's judgement of hitting.

So many different summary versions, so little time. I don't think I can spend an eternity translating all of them but I'll try. @_@ I've already insominiac myself.
DKΣ3713 Party はなですよ! - Part 12 - Aqua
by Tomogirl on August 03, 2008 at 10:38 PM EDT
By now, most people have seen this very nice observation drawing by an attendee. The important part of this picture would be Aqua and her clothing since there hasn't been any pictures of her yet (asides from the BbS movie). A lot of the Japanese are commenting on her clothing. (>_> Ano...oo..Short pants. Ha..)The cute Roxas and Unbirth drawings at the bottom are nice bonuses.

DKΣ3713 Party はなですよ! - Part 11 - 1UP.com
by Tomogirl on August 03, 2008 at 9:45 AM EDT
1UP was able to attend the Party and be able to give their semi-full detailed review. Positive for BbS but not so good for 358/2?
By Jeremy Parish 08/02/2008
While Kingdom Hearts' PSP incarnation, Birth By Sleep, seems like a promising and polished piece of work, its upcoming DS entry could best be described as "troubled." Everything about the game, including the name, seems in dire need of improvement before it's ready to ship.
The name, by the way, apparently varies from day to day. We've heard that "358/2 Days" is supposed to be pronounced "three five eight over two days," but upon closer examination at Square Enix's DKS3713 event in Tokyo, the proper pronunciation appears to be "three five eight days over two." But either way, it's a cumbersome name that probably means something, but it could probably go about expressing that concept in a more elegant and less obtuse manner.
Likewise, there are some good ideas in 358/2 Days, but they could be expressed more effectively.
On its surface, this particular Kingdom Hearts is all about the multiplayer. Players take control of one of the 13 (actually 14) members of the mysterious Organization XIII in Twilight Town (the game stars Sora's double, Roxas, rather than Sora himself). Then three other players join in and team up to battle through standard KH levels and missions. It's a great idea; if any Square Enix property lends itself to cooperative play, it's KH. But the execution has issues, many of which stem from the hardware platform.
Not that there's anything inherently wrong with the DS; it's acquitted itself time and again. But it may simply lack the horsepower necessary to depict a four-man action-RPG in full 3D. Plus, the D-pad feels like a definite step backward from the analog control of previous entries in the series, a poor choice for controlling a character in 3D space. And then there's the camera issue -- somehow, unbelievably, Square has managed to create a game with a worse camera system than the original Kingdom Hearts. There's no way to shift the camera, at least that we were able to determine, and the close-in point of view makes keeping an enemy in your sights needlessly difficult.
It doesn't help that so few enemies are onscreen at a given time. To allow for four players in reasonably interesting environments, it seems that Square Enix had to make compromises elsewhere, and it started with the enemy count. Only two -- maybe three -- enemies are ever seen onscreen at any given moment. To compensate for the thinned enemy ranks, though, the developers cranked up their hit points. So four people may be pounding on two foes at once, but they'll still take as long to defeat as a larger group. On the plus side, there was no appreciable lag or slowdown even with four people onscreen at once.
Still, something about 358/2 Days feels a bit off. We'd like for it to succeed -- a good four-player cooperative action-RPG is never unwelcome -- but in order for it to hit the mark, it's going to need a bit of work.

DKΣ3713 Party はなですよ! - Part 10 - BbS gameplay summary
by Tomogirl on August 03, 2008 at 9:24 AM EDT
Some gameplay info on the demo missions.- In Terra's story in the Sleeping Beauty world.
- It starts out as a small cutscene of Terra wandering alone in the forest.
- "Have to master these guys called Unbirth?"
- Mission: Annihilate enemies.
- Unbirth appear along the way when walking down a straight road towards a castle.
- The boss fight starts immediately as soon as you enter the castle.
- It was a huge spool of thread. After giving it a suitable amount of hits, the attendee came out as the victor in the battle.
- No cutscenes whatsoever throughout Terra's story demo.
- Ven's story this time.
- The gameplay relates with the cutscene of Ven helping Jaq make Cinderella a dress.
- Mission: Collect dress material.
- Since there aren't any material in the first area, skip that place.
- Ven speaks to Jaq for advice on how to go the right way.
- Jaq instructs Ven as to where the materials are placed.
- The clothing room is on the right side of the map which is where the material is.
- The lace is up on the sofa. In order to get it, you have to raise a book in an umbrella-like position.
- Up on that place, there lies a cloth.
- The material that's in a high location is a ball of wool. You must be able to get it. It is possible to exit the room even without taking the ball.
- A lot of Unbirth appear and are easy to fight.
- The boss fight happens once you collect the two materials.
- Mission 2: Punish Lucifer.
- The first round was easy to beat.
- When you hit Lucifer several times, he'll jump onto the shelf. Keep away from him and stand somewhere safe. (It's not good even if you're far or near him actually.)
- When Lucifer jumps, Ven hides in a shadow before you dodge roll.
- Once Lucifer misses his landing, this gives you a chance to go up to him and hit him several times.
- When the △ shows up, press the button to jump onto his back. (As long as Phil doesn't show up to nag you..)
- Ven resembled a rodeo boy, riding Lucifer's back, while the ○△□× icons were making their random appearances. The attendee had to make an accurate pressing of the buttons by the 4th time.
- Lucifer crashes into the wall. The attendee made Ven beat the cat with earnest hitting. (....I don't want to feel bad for the evil cat but...)
- When falling down repeatedly, it gives you such a feeling (of...?).
- When both bosses are defeated, the demo ends. The end scene gives you the words [in English] "Thank you for playing". (The attendee is pretty close in his/her English for putting down "Thank you for you play".)
- It's confirmed that the characters that look like red shadow pizzas are "Unbirth". (And no, it's not a mistake that the attendee described these Unbirth to look like pizza! >D Pizza Hut yum.)
- Next, the attendee describes the gameplay operation.
- Use the cross pad to move. Use the △ to operate and consume MP.
- This takes time because it's a type of reload.
- The technique is to be able to freely rearrange and command magic.
- Aerial is a reload type of magic so it seems that potion becomes indespensible.
- This technique helps it to exist and be free from hitting repeatedly. (**double check trans later. 技によって派生が存在、ただの連打だけではな)
- The use of timing and the △ system affects the heart. A long sword appears when the MH gauge reaches a rank II form.
- Was Terra using the power of fire? Ven is a speed-up (or in other words, uses speed). Both change of techniques were refreshing. The feeling was the same for the decrease in MH.
- The △ system is well. In the spool of thread boss match, you release its ability by hitting the △ button repeatedly.
- You can also manipulate △ in the Lucifer battle in order to get onto Lucifer's back.
- You can evade with the □ button. Terra will dash into the air. Ven will dodge roll which is very convenient.
- To change the one person view point (camera) mode, use the R button. It allows you to do lock-on by positioning a target onto the enemy at the center of the screen.
- The divided number of shots were done using the R button again before running out of time.
- The attendee believes that Terra's technique is that of the Sonic Crab while Ven uses Ragnarock. The attendee wonders if these are opposite styles.
- The only thing that the attendee felt dissatisfaction was in the method of operation which had a bad weakness.
- You must push the L button while operating the character since it's an analog key. Also, when the camera is moving, the character stands upright. The camera cannot be moved while the character is running. (What!? Nooo..) The attendee prays that all of this is his/her misunderstanding.
